Follow the yellow...
Awards shows have become notoriously uninteresting as far as fashion is concerned (I'm being nice). The jewelry is usually a snooze. Tonight's Emmy Awards weren't much of a surprise, but the big star of the show was the color yellow. I love it on all three of these ladies. Left to right: Julianne Moore, Dior; Clare Danes, Lanvin; Leslie Mann, Naeem Khan. While the Naeem Khan dress is more yellow-squash than yellow, I still love the look. Leslie Mann looks so chic and comfortable. The turquoise jewelry is a nice touch.
And...I also love January Jones in this Zac Posen dress. It's not a safe choice - she'll probably take some criticism for the poufy skirt. But I like the vibe. She is Betty Draper, after all!

Profile in Jewels
Hillary Thomas & Clara Moore Hendon
My Profile in Jewels feature shines a light on the stylish women (and perhaps, a few men...) who wear my jewelry. Today, I'm excited to introduce you to two super-stylish tastemakers, my friends, Hillary Thomas & Clara Moore Hendon of Chic Shop in Los Angeles.
Clara & Hillary wearing their very own Stephanie Albertson earrings
Friends since college, Hillary and Clara share a passion for design and have taken the concept of "vintage chic" to new heights. With an aesthetic that is equal parts traditional and twenty-first century, their style is an eclectic mix of old and new, with a nod to Slim Aarons-era cool. Think California meets Cape Cod meets Cap d'Antibes. So chic, indeed. Hillary has made a name for herself in the interior design world and together, she and Clara have launched several products, including my favorite -- a genius gemstone finial collection. Jewelry for your lamps! I love their energy and how the design world has embraced them. One definitely gets the sense that the best is yet to come for this designing duo.

Color Inspiration: Green
I grew up in a house with a dark, dramatic green dining room. The room had three green walls and one floor to ceiling wall of glass with a view of our yard. You had the feeling, sitting out our table, that you were eating al fresco. The green just carried you right out the window. I've always been a big fan of green in all aspects of design. From lacquer walls to upholstered furniture to a great piece of statement jewelry...I just love the elegance of a stunning green accent. Have a look...
